UNWTO Sheds Light on Shopping Tourism

it was highlighted at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Conference on Shopping Tourism, organised by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) during FITUR.

The event shed light on the latest figures, trends and strategies within the sector, showing how it is transforming the endorsement of destinations worldwide.

Jörn Gieschen, researcher, Instituto de Empresa and MasterCard Observatory on Premium Markets and Prestige Products, underlined that this emerging segment is intimately related to city travel.
