Jumeirah Rehabilitates 44 Turtles

To commemorate the 44th national day of the UAE, Jumeirah Group released 44 sea turtles into the Arabian

Gulf at Madinat Jumeirah's private beach by Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.

The 44 juvenile hawksbills were rescued from the country's shores and nursed back to health by the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project (DTRP).

Since the project began in 2004, a total of 844 turtles were saved.

Based at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and Madinat Jumeirah, DTRP is run in collaboration with Dubai's Wildlife Protection Office, with essential veterinary support provided by Dubai Falcon Hospital and the Central Veterinary Research Laboratory.
