Under the terms of the agreement, Abu Dhabi Ports will help raise awareness of the activities and programmes undertaken by the charitable organisation, as well as offer its assets to grant wishes for critically ill children.
Company employees will also have the opportunity to volunteer to be part of granting the wishes in an effort to engage them more in corporate social responsibility activities.
The agreement was signed by Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO, Abu Dhabi Ports, and Hani Mohammed Al Zubaidi, CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE.
Al Shamisi, commented, “This is a truly worthy cause and our management and employees look forward to aiding this organisation wherever we can.”
In April, Abu Dhabi Ports granted their first ever wish through the foundation for an 11-year-old Bahraini girl, Ghaya, who suffers from type one diabetes. Her wish was to go on a cruise trip with her family.
