H.R.H. Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, president, Saudi Commission for Tourism & National Heritage (STCH), along with, H.R.H. Prince Faisal bin Mesh’al bin Saud bin Abdul Aziz, governor, Al Qassim, laid the foundation stone of Al Qassim Museum.

The 10,000 m2 museum has the value of SAR67 million (USD 18 million) and it falls within the projects of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cultural Heritage Initiative. Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz also visited the local branch of SCTH, which is under construction in Buraidah, implemented at a total cost of SAR18 million (USD4.8 million).

During the visit, Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, said, ”Such projects support tourism in the Kingdom and reflect the heavy turnout of visitors in light of the Saudi Arabia’s huge historical heritage,” expressing hope to see these museums built in different parts of the region.
