Tourism Ireland Partners with dnata Travel

Tourism Ireland has teamed up with dnata Travel, one of the Middle East’s biggest travel companies, to grow visitor numbers from the UAE to the island of Ireland.

The campaign includes advertisements on radio and social platforms – highlighting an attractive Ireland package price and reminding potential visitors that a visa is no longer required for UAE nationals travelling to Ireland.

According to Tourism Ireland, around 71,000 visitors from the Middle East visited Ireland in 2017. The organisation is rolling out an extensive programme of promotions this year to continue to grow that number.

Aisling McDermott, manager, Asia and Middle East, Tourism Ireland, noted that as well as continuing to target traditional markets, “We also realise the importance of expanding our focus to the longer-term opportunities presented by emerging markets like the Middle East."
