The emirate’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) is looking forward to the benefits created by an AED50 million (USD13.61 million) stimulus package announced by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince, Abu Dhabi.

H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman DCT– Abu Dhabi, said, “This recent directive reiterates the pivotal role that the tourism sector continues to play, especially in introducing Abu Dhabi to the world as a global destination for not only short-term visits, but also for investment and long-term stays.”

H.E. Saif Saeed Ghobash, undersecretary DCT – Abu Dhabi, suggested the stimulus measures would encourage private sector stakeholders and investors to seek out opportunities in booming sectors such as tourism, noting eco-tourism sits at the heart of the future of the tourism industry.
