RAKTDA Visit Saudi Arabia and Bahrain on GCC Roadshow

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) recently visited Saudi Arabia and Bahrain as part of its annual GCC roadshow.

According to RAKTDA, the roadshow is designed to build awareness about Ras Al Khaimah’s offering amongst trade and media partners and continue the upward trend in GCC visitors to the emirate after their numbers grew by 45.6 percent during 2017.

Haitham Mattar, CEO, RAKTDA, commented, “Our annual roadshow gave us the opportunity to bring to life our latest offer to stakeholders in Saudi and Bahrain and will help enable ongoing visitor growth through strategic partnerships and agreements with in-market tour operators.”

Taking in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah and Riyadh and Manama, Bahrain, the roadshow showcased the destination’s diversity from its beaches and desert landscapes to the Hajar Mountains, including Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak, and its adventure holidays offering.

RAKTDA also shared the latest tourism developments with travel stakeholders in the GCC, including the opening of Jebel Jais Flight, described as The World’s Longest Zipline, and growth plans for its luxury accommodation portfolio.
