Dubai Tourism Forecasts Hospitality Occupancy Growth

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) revealed that the emirate’s hospitality sector is forecast to experience strong growth over the coming years.

Occupied room nights are set to reach 35.5 million annually during 2019, representing a robust 10.2 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next two years.

According to a comprehensive market study by Dubai Tourism, occupancy levels are forecast to remain at an extremely healthy 76 – 78 percent despite capacity growth and maintaining the sector’s attractiveness to hotel investors and developers.

Strong sector competitiveness is set to continue to be fuelled by international overnight visitation rising and targeted hotel stay duration increases, supported further by recent and upcoming tourism attractions and experiences.
