A recent analysis conducted by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry showed that based on the upcoming mega projects to the market, spending within the UAE’s travel and tourism sector is expected to rise steadily over the next five years to reach over USD56 billion in 2022.

The data from Business Monitor International and World Travel and Tourism Council also revealed that tourism and travel accounted for 12.1 percent of the UAE’s GDP in 2016, in other words USD43.3 billion.

As per the same data, total spending in the industry is set to reach 4.5 year-on-year increase this year to reach USD42 billion.
