According to figures released by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), during July, the emirate achieved a four percent uplift in hotel guests compared to the corresponding month in 2016.

The report revealed that 396,548 guests checked into the emirate’s 164 hotels and hotel apartments, accounting for 928,502 guest nights. Hotel revenues for the month reached AED327 million (USD89 million) from a total of almost 33,000 available rooms.

Double-digit growth from key tier one markets, namely the UK and US, up 28.5 percent and 20 percent, respectively, reflect an upsurge in summer demand. Meanwhile, the expansion of tourists from China continuing unabated, posting a year-on-year increase of 87 percent.
