Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) has announced the launch of Tourism Marketing Council as a regulatory entity responsible for an array of marketing services and activities in support of the tourism industry.

As a part of the organisation’s Joint Tourism Marketing Program in cooperation with private sector partners, the new entity will rely on its own income generated though tourism activities to finance further developments, thus lowering SCTH’s marketing expenses, in line with the Kingdom’s goal to spread the culture of government spending efficiently.

SCTH’s current multiple tourism initiatives fall under the first phase of the National Transformation Program 2020, being implemented in partnership between the Economic and Development Affairs Council and 18 public administrations.
