According to Airport International Group, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 1,671,784 passengers in the first quarter (Q1) of the year, climbing two percent compared to the corresponding period in 2016.

Furthermore, in Q1, aircraft movements dropped 2.9 percent, while the amount of cargo handled fell 8.7 percent year-on-year.

In March, the airport welcomed 570,586 travellers, compared to 569,834 passengers during the same period in 2016.
