During the month of October, approximately 34,000 travellers visited Luxor.

More than 4,000 of these were domestic guests, with the remaining 30,000 tourists representing international markets.

The positive numbers came after a five-year hiatus in the promotion of Luxor’s tourism product which has now recommenced to revive the industry.

The Upper Egyptian city is known as a premium travel destination that attracts high-spenders; a segment which is set to boost the local economy.
