Slight Revenue Increase at Wyndham

Wyndham Worldwide announced that its second quarter (Q2) revenue increased one percent. The group reported a Q2 net income of USD156 million, compared to USD159 in the same period in 2015. Depreciation, higher interest expenses and an elevated tax

rate counteracted the growth in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA).

On a currency neutral basis and excluding acquisitions, EBITDA rose three percent to USD340 million.

Domestic RevPAR at the company's properties rose two percent, with total group RevPAR declining 0.6 percent.

In the group's hotel division EBITDA grew five percent to USD101 million and the number of rooms surged 2.2 percent.
