THE SAUDI COMMISSION FOR TOURISM AND NATIONAL HERITAGE (SCTH) AND A COALITION OF SAUDI ARABIAN GOVERNMENTAL BODIES ARE SET TO PROMOTE THE KINGDOM’S TOURISM THROUGH A RECENT SPENDING BOOST,

ESTIMATED AT SAR144.3 BILLION (USD38.2 BILLION).

According to Mohammad Abdullah Al-Amri, general director, SCTH, SAR53.5 billion (USD14 billion) is destined to be invested in local projects, while SAR90.8 billion (USD24.2 billion) will be allocated for inbound tourism.

SCTH is anticipating that travellers and residents of the country will deliver some SAR144.3 billion (USD38.5 billion) in revenues this year, with local visitors set to generate more than the SAR86.4 billion (USD23 billion) spent by them abroad.
