QATAR TOURISM AUTHORITY REPORTED THREE MILLION VISITORS TO THE COUNTRY IN 2015, WITH FUTURE TARGETS GOING AS HIGH AS FOUR MILLION BY 2020.

“Looking further ahead, [tourism’s contribution to the national GDP] is expected to grow annually by 4.7 percent, to reach USD7.2 billion in 2025 as Qatar works towards its strategic goal of positioning itself as a world-class hub with deep cultural roots,” said Nadege Noblet-Segers, exhibition manager, Arabian Travel Market (ATM).

Noblet-Segers added that an increasingly diversified tourism portfolio requires an equally broad hospitality offering in Qatar, including both luxury and midrange categories, which is something ATM is focussing on this year.
