Underscoring the industry’s significance to Oman’s socio-economic growth, the country pledges to invest some USD35 billion in tourism between 2015 – 2040.

Building on the past decade’s success, which has resulted in a 7.4 percent annual increase in visitor number between 2005 – 2014, Oman now aims to attract 1.4 million international travellers by 2019, up from 1.1 million in 2015.
