Cape Town Boosts Year-Round Appeal

Cape Town is becoming a year-round destination, as it was recently highlighted by Enver Duminy, CEO, Cape Town Tourism, during the company’s annual general meeting.

As Duminy revealed, the latest statistics show a year-on-year growth in air travel to the location, and the tourism authority’s strategies in combating seasonality, such as the Hello Weekend campaign, had paid off.

The specific initiative alone resulted in a 21 percent rise in domestic bookings.

“Placing the emphasis on campaigns [...] which showcase select city suburbs and a drive to encourage visitors to travel like a local will add impetus to tourism-related businesses,” Duminy enthused.
