Marriott International announced the debut of Sheraton Grand Conakry, marking the group's entry into Guinea, West Africa.

The newly built property boasts 269 rooms, an extensive 300m2 fitness centre, an infinity pool and a spa.

Additionally, guests can take advantage of a selection of food and beverage outlets and more than 1300m2 of meeting and event space.

Commenting on the brand's addition, Alex Kyriakidis, president, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International, said, "Sheraton Grand Conakry not only marks our entry into a new country, but will also create a halo effect for the brand and serve as a great example of our transformation efforts."
