The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) concluded its 109th Executive Council session in Manama, Bahrain with members showing appreciation both for progress made under the 2018 institutional priorities and for the organisation’s financial stability and restructuring process.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the People’s Government of Guilin, China held the 12th UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook on October 25 -27. This year’s edition - ‘The Future of Tourism: Road to 2030´, aligns with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In a media event, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) held the official signing ceremony of the 2nd Edition of the Adventures of Maldives, a Facebook Video competition held in partnership with Red Bull. Adventures of Maldives is co-sponsored by Euro Store and Tech Street.

Millennials love going on city trips, and, at least some, are willing to spend big on travelling, with now half of all luxury trips being made by Millennials. These are the findings of a special evaluation of the World Travel Monitor, conducted by IPK International and commissioned by ITB Berlin.
