Jazeera Airways Gets Middle East’s First Airbus A320neo

Kuwaiti low-cost airline Jazeera Airways has taken delivery of what is hailed as the first Airbus A320neo aircraft to arrive in the Middle East.

The inaugural flight for the Jazeera A320neo flight J9 176 left Kuwait for Dubai, UAE at 13:10 (local time) on June 11.

Rohit Ramachandran, CEO, Jazeera Airways, commented, “This is the first of three A320neo aircraft scheduled to be delivered to Jazeera Airways by May 2019, supporting our continued network expansion to cover destinations that are around five to six hours away from Kuwait.”

Ramachandran added that the A320neo boasts upgrades that enable the airline to make cost savings while improving performance and increasing the range covered by the single-aisle aircraft.
