SalamAir Announce First Flights to Iran

Oman’s SalamAir is introducing its first Iran service with two weekly flights to Shiraz.

Due to launch on February 28, the low-cost airline will be operating flights to Iran’s third largest city every Sunday and Wednesday.

Mohamed Ahmed, CEO, SalamAir, said the new route had been created due to popular demand and is a priority for the airline this year. “Despite its increasing popularity as a medical and tourism destination, Shiraz has remained an underserved route for years with no direct flights from Muscat,” outlined Ahmed.

SalamAir also plans to expand its services to Iran with flights to Tehran and Mashhad, supported by three new Airbus A320 aircraft, which are set to be added to its fleet this year.
