The Emirates Group has published its sixth annual environmental report, showcasing its sustainability performance and initiatives, such as a 60 percent reduction in electricity in its London office and the installation of solar panels at the Emirates Engine Maintenance Centre.

While airline operations make up the majority of the group's environmental impact, the carrier has one of the youngest fleets in the industry, meaning lower engine and noise emissions.

Despite collaborative efforts with air traffic management to deliver more efficient routings and reduced fuel consumption, airspace closures this year have resulted longer flight paths.

On top of its ongoing wildlife conservation support in Dubai and Australia, the company also partnered with United for Wildlife to increase awareness into the illegal trade of wildlife.
