Emirates Brings A380 to Johannesburg

From February 2017, Emirates will use an Airbus A380-800 for one of its four daily departures on its busiest route in the African network between Dubai and Johannesburg. The airline, which currently deploys Boeing 777 aircraft on the itinerary,

has carried more than three million passengers between the two cities in the past five years.

Like all of the airline’s services to South Africa, the flight will be operated in partnership with South African Airways.

The 516-seat Airbus A380 will be utilised for the first flight of the day. Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport will join over 40 destinations in Emirates’ global network reached by the aircraft.
