QAIA Achieves Third Level of Airport Carbon Accreditation

In line with its continuous efforts to improve overall environmental efficiency, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) completed the third level of Airport Carbon Accreditation, becoming the first airfield in the Middle East to achieve the distinction.

The airport was officially recognised with the top level accreditation at the 11th Airports Council International Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference and Exhibition, in Australia.

The award is a further testament to QAIA’s role as a regional pioneer in the field of carbon reduction, according to Kjeld Binger, CEO, Airport International Group, who added, “We are determined to press on, advancing to complete higher certification levels and to secure our ultimate goal of becoming carbon neutral.”
