Despite sluggish global economic growth, low oil prices, US and Brexit influences, the UAE is set to lead the Middle East passenger growth for the year, with an annual increase of more than 6.3 percent according to estimates from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Airport International Group (AIG) has released its February statistics, which indicated significant improvements in passenger traffic compared to the same month in 2016.

In February, passenger traffic at Dubai International continued its upward trajectory, rising 8.8 percent to 6,948,157 travellers, according to the monthly traffic report issued by Dubai Airports.
