Sharjah International Airport revealed that in July, the number of passengers passing through its doors reached one million, marking an 8.2 percent increase compared to the corresponding month in 2016.


Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 3,609,875 passengers in the first half of the year (H1), up 5.4 percent, while aircraft movements rose 0.7 percent year-on-year, and the amount of cargo handled dropped 1.7 percent over H1 2016.


In June, the hub served 628,787 travellers, a jump of 14 percent over the corresponding month in 2016. Moreover, ACM and cargo also grew, up 8.9 percent and 22.2 percent, respectively.

According to Dubai Airports, 554,993 passengers passed through Dubai World Central (DWC) in the first six months of the year (H1), a year-on-year surge of 35.3 percent.

Dubai Airports revealed that in the first half of this year (H1), the number of passengers that passed through Dubai International surpassed 43.05 million, up 6.3 percent year-on-year.

Airport International Group (AIG) has released its February statistics, which indicated significant improvements in passenger traffic compared to the same month in 2016.

In the third quarter (Q3) of the year, passenger traffic at Dubai World Central (DWC) soared 161 percent when compared to the corresponding period in 2015.
