Oman Ministry of Tourism’s pavilion at the event also featured leading local travel and hospitality providers, such as; Arabian Experience, Jabal Al Akhdar Resort by Anantara, and Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara. The Ministry noted that the positive response from visitors reflected the country’s strategic edge as an ideal holiday destination for Saudi Arabia and other GCC markets, further boosting its efforts to surpass its 2017 achievement of recording more than 1.59 million tourist arrivals.
Oman has a wide array of initiatives being developed to further enhance the country’s top-rated attractions. The initiatives fall under Oman Tourism Strategy 2040 which is aiming to attract 11 million regional and international tourists to the Sultanate.
Saleh Al Khaifi, director, tourism awareness department, Ministry of Tourism, commented, “Through these projects, we hope to meet our goal to strengthen the Sultanate's leadership globally."
