Samir Tabbah, group CEO, Desert Gate, elaborated, “This year we estimate to handle the arrival of over 200,000 guests into the UAE and Oman, and through the launch of the Maldives as our next destination, we expect our numbers to grow significantly in line with our growth plan for the business.”
Nicholas Rhodes, group chief commercial officer, Desert Gate has been tasked with building the team to manage the expansion. “Offering additional destinations as well as two-centre holidays, have always been a core component of our
strategy,” noted Rhodes. “Our technology, processes and distribution are fully scalable and we are already planning operations and acquisitions in other Indian Ocean destinations.”
Rhodes added that Desert Gate had been built to be entirely guest and partner centric, and that results in the UAE and Oman had validated its strategy.
