Amadeus Travel Tech Challenge Finalists Showcase Tomorrow’s Solutions

As start-ups continue to fuel the Middle East’s travel industry’s transformation, Amadeus invited entrepreneurs to submit ideas for the sector’s next big tech breakthrough in its Travel Tech Challenge for this year.

The developers of the Triend mobile application, Michel Semaan and Karim Mecattaf, from Lebanon, were named the challenge winners during a recent event in Dubai.

Triend proposes a travel website and application combining bookings, stories and reviews to allow people around the world, but particularly in the Middle East and North African region, to build a more personal travel experience.

Amadeus presented Triend’s creators with a cash prize, pro-bono consultancy services and access to Amadeus’ application programming interface to further develop their vision, and the chance to interact with key players in the travel industry through Amadeus’ global footprint.
